My Dear, I Can Solve Your Cooking Problems Via the Quadratic Formula.

I never did very well in math – I could never seem to persuade the teacher that I hadn’t meant my answers literally. — Calvin Trillin

Yeah, no one’s ever said that to their wife (or husband, you never know who does the cooking these days) because the quadratic formula isn’t good for anything outside of a math or science major. I planned on posting this earlier but slept in (this is my day off, after all) and then had to get to work studying for a math test on Monday. Sadly, my math teacher isn’t the best and he gave us a mountain of homework he’s not going to help or explain.

So I’ve been slugging my way through that today. Proud of myself for it, mind you, because I did figure a good amount of (non-quadratic formula) stuff out. After I get past this Monday, expect a few longer posts from me on how to switch your blog and whatnot, and maybe a short story tomorrow. Something relaxing and fun to unwind from all the foiling (yeah, I’m not very good at math and that’s a very tedious process for me).

Enjoy your weekend! Got any fun plans?

  1. I would just die if I was ever given maths homework again. Never. Again. Make sure you do masses of fiction writing to balance it out.

    • Oh, believe me, after this semester I’m never, ever doing math(s) again. Ever. And sadly math kills my drive to write because it hurts my brain that badly.
